"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished" - Lao Tzu
lately I've been feeling the need to unplug. from my phone, my computer, from my work, social media, from people, from the world. I've been craving some time to myself. a healthy break from the monotony, from the everyday hustle.
I think the transition from summer to fall is starting to catch up with me, & my mind, heart, & spirit are starting to feel the changes all at once. I too am transitioning. I too am entering another season of life, yet I haven't made time to reconnect with myself and my needs.
so I decided to take an afternoon trip to the Zilker Botanical Garden here in Austin, TX to spend some time in nature. to disconnect from the world, if only for a few hours.
there I felt in tune to everything around me. it was like my senses had come alive after a long period of dormancy. I felt creative & attuned to detail & and inspired all at once. here are some small photographic glimpses that I wanted to share:
ultimately, I left the garden feeling recharged, inspired, and grateful to know that a small sanctuary exists for me to gather myself.
remember to make peace a priority.
